Question: Berger 82 and 90 & freebore

Berger data shows 23.1 varget max at 98% capacityfor the 82 gr bullet, they show a COL of 2.260 for everything , with that said, this is a brnd new barrel never shot it's a shilen 1/7 twist I don't know what the freebore is until I call tommorow, at lands using hornady tool I am COL 2.360 from ogive to base I am 1.895, I took a dummy round put a spent primer in it and loaded 23.1 varget put bullet in at 2.360 that is at land, baseof bullet is far deeeper than shoulder ,powder is just a bit under shoulder that kind of tells me it is compressed a lot , so where is your base of bullet in comparison to case shoullder.

My 90 vld's are a little bit below the case shoulder. 24.8 gr varget has room to move around when shaken. This is with .169 freebore. I'd like to try .200 freebore next time.
