Question - Article in Daily Bulletin

Shynloco

You can lead a horse to water, but ........
An article just appeared in the Daily Bulletin that features the amazing accomplishment of a 10 yr old girl named Angela G in which she outshot some Benchrest Hall of Famers in a 100 yd comp in Arizona back in 2014. The article is a reprint from 2014, but is no less, a fanastic accomplishment of shooting an agg five shot group (by a 10 yr old no less) of .01612.

Question - Can anyone tell me if she was shooting a 6mmbr or a 6ppc (or some other caliber)? The article doesn't specific the caliber, but I am aware some of the Hall of Famers were shooting a 6ppc. Just curious. Thx!

Alex

Did a Goggle search (angelina gonzalez shooting champ) and found article (equipment list for provided by Lou Murdica) showing 6PPC, Shilen barrel, rail gun, Kensler stock, Panda action, Berger 6mm BR Column bullets, LT 32 powder, March 8-80. Article is from Berger Bullets website under Target Success Stories

Alex, it was a 6ppc, but I think you have your decimal in the wrong place.

Yes, it was Lou Murdica's granddaughter, and it was fun to watch her kick all those old guys butts. In December, Lou brought all of his 4 grandchildren to the Unlimited match. Each one of them had their own unlimited rail gun and loaded their own ammo. The were competitive with the present shooters, several of which are in the hall of fame (Walt Berger, Lester Bruno, and Gary O'Cock)

Here's the article (see page 7) where she shot a .120 for her first win.

What's amazing to me is the incredibly small difference in group size, measured in the thousandths of an inch, between first and last place. Seems like a butterfly flapping its wings on the other side of the planet can either send you home long faced, or put you in the winners circle.

Yes, they really watch it during the Monarch migration.

Thx to all for the resdponses.

And Butch...you are right......early morning brain disease and my fingers wandering around the keyboard in need of caffeine. Thx!
