Question about primer flame temp.

When comparing the two photos of the primer flash in German Salazars primer study there is a notable difference of compression of flame width, color, and secondary flame particles ahead of the main flash. These differences brought several questions to mind.
First, does the compression and color change of the flame from the small flash hole increase/decrease the temperature of the flame and what effect this might have. The second question is whether the small flame particles in front of the main flash in the large flash hole could cause inconsistent ignition.

I would contact German and he can answer those questions. It may be alittle bit before he gets back to you because he is competing right now but he does get back to you.He is a real nice guy and always happy to help.

David Tubb did a test on primers a long time ago. His determination was that you want to use a cool burning primer for best results.
