Question about Burris signature zee rings

A while back I ordered some of the Burris signature zee rings, 30 mm. I also ordered an egw base to go with them. When I got them in, I started messing with them, and realized the rings wouldn't fit on the base. I eventually sent the egw base back, and now have a Warne base coming. Anybody out there have experience with the burris signature zee rings? Which base did you put them on?

Ben

I had to go in and file the inside corners of the ring bottoms to get. them to slide on any mount I owned.Talked to burris tech about it and he told me to use burris mounts only.

Thanks guys. I was kinda trying to avoid "making" them fit. But if they don't fit on the new base, I'll just go on and do one your suggestions, whichever one turns out to be easier. Thanks again.

I have had to get medival with a flat screwdriver on a few Burris rings to get them to fit Warne and Weaver bases, but I will not use any other ring than Signatures.

They do seem to go on a bit tight and you'll need to work at it, but there is no better to be had. I have a few of them on EGW bases, and they all had to be talked on a little bit... Just use a lever to open the slot a tiny bit, and all will be well........

As others above have mentioned, I just put a large, flat screwdriver in the slot and pry out just a hair. Usually, it doesn't even feel like it moved but, the rings slide right on the base afterward.

I've done it for Nesika bases, Baer custom base, Nightforce tapered bases and a couple others I have. It's worked every time.

I had to do the same on an AR15 flat top receiver. I had to do it just once, it's been okay ever since. It doesn't take much, be gentle.

So it wasn't the base's fault at all. I was a little hesitant to mess with the rings. But after hearing what yall have to say, think I'll go on and pry that side out a little. Thanks again for the input guys, really appeciate it!

Steve here... I have them on a set of Ken Farrels and they slid on no problem. I love the zee rings they don't scratch up the scope.

I tried to put them on a Farrel base. They would not fit. A screwdriver in the slot with a light tap with a hammer, and they fit great.
