CatShooter

Have any of you guys shot this bullet in a 6mBR with a 14" twist.

If so, how accurate (gun is benchrest grade), do you like it, and what are your thoughts.

Intended backstop is Fuzzy Marmotas (Marmoti??) and crows.

What's the deal? Has nobody played with this bullet? I am curious too.

I am surprised too.

So I bought a box, and they arrived Saturday. Gorgeous bullet design. Too late to test them this year, but I will test them in March or April.

The Ogive is almost a straight line

CatShooter,
That bullet calls for a 1-12" twist rate minimum (our #24313). Don't know if you can get enough velocity out of the BR to overcome your 1-14" twist rate. Let us know how it works out. Thanks for using our bullets!

I know... but I have found that recommended twists are often conservative.

I read a review of these somewhere else and the guy was shooting these from a 6mmBR w/14-t at 3400 and getting very good results.

IF they don't shoot in my 6mmBR, I will shoot them in a 10-T 6mm Rem.

CatShooter,
Let us know if the velocity does the job on the 6BR please. Just for curiosity's sake :)
Thanks Cat Shooter!
Take care,

I'll load them up today (I have the patience of a 10 year old at Christmas)... but I won't get a chance to shoot them until next spring, unless we get a heat wave.

I will re-visit this page then.

A friend of mine shot them in a 24" 14twist 6br imp. (Brg) it shot well. One ragged hole. I don't remember the velocity I think it was around 3300. I think they will stabilize in a br 14twist

Thought I remember him saying they lacked a little in the show department when compared to the 65 vmax, but then again not much can bring the destruction they do.

I ran them in my 14tw .243AI. Very accurate at 3950 fps. I think they were originally 66 grs., Phil? They killed okay but not as explosive as the 70 gr. BK's I'm running now. Their BC is great but in SC PA pass through's are always a concern.

MrMajestic,
Not sure if they were the same as the 66gr. That was before my time. Through and throughs can be a concern in some areas of the country I agree. We have had some fur takers out west say they use the target bullets so the hide doesn't get to messed up though. Looks like you have your answer CatShooter. Now you just have to see if you can step on the gas hard enough with your 6BR! Its going to be 44 this weekend for me. That's as close to a heat wave as we will see till March/April possibly. :'(
Thanks for using our bullets!
Take care,
