Question A scope mount that gives 20 plus Moa ?

i think there is a couple of 1 pcs scope mounts that can adjust from 20 moa up to as much as 70 MOA.
I am looking for the brand that is for
a 30mm scope tube. NOT looking for Burris Z rings but a actual 1 pcs 30mm scope mount. Want to try to get my 6.5 creedmoor out to 1600 plus yards but with my present low moa scope.
I cannot remember the brand of theses mounts that give this kind of MOA adjustable feature. You can go back to 20 moa but then ajust back up to a much higher MOA with just a Allen wrench or a with a dial. Do you guys know the brand and model ? Thanks. Marty

Ok. I have heard of them. I also thought there was 2 other companys that could be better and more accurate ?
they are 1 pcs mounts ? Any ideas their names ?myst be for 30mm scopes. Marty

ERA-TAC that euro-optics sells is the best variable gantry mount that I have found on the market. I own one that has helped make connections 2500+ with a specialty pistol

VGM made some that were realy good too but they dont make them anymore to my knowledge.

Ivey makes them too they are good, I think my ERA-TAC is simpler.

Cold Shot also makes them but I would NOT recommend them they are not repeatable or solid enough .

That being said a 30mm tube, burris Z rings and a 20MOA base will reach 1600 if you want it to depending on where you zero and what you have for a reticle

Peoples24......Just kidding you on the NEW 55gr bullet comment. I saw in a article a guy was hitting gongs at 1600 yards with 6.5 creedmoor. Cannot remember in article what his bullet or load was.
I thought I first better see if I can get a scope mount that will ad a heck of a lot more MOA then my sightron lll 10-50x60 scope has. No use trying if I cannot get enough MOA first.like I said just kidding you , don’t take it wrong way. Marty

Sawcarver. Thanks for the good info.
Yes that was the name I could not remember... ERA-TAC.
I keep seeing a 34mm tube mount but not a 30mm tube mount that will go really high in MOA ? Am I wrong on that ? I will pm you some question if ok Sunday when I have more time.
Thanks. Marty

Yes i read a guy that hit steel at 1760 with a creed, but its going to be very hit or miss going subsonic along the way i would think. Dont get me wrong i want to try to hit at a mile with mine.:D From my 200 yard zero i only need 79 moa elevation to reach a mile. So with my scope i could realistically reach a mile using turrets and mil dot hold over, barely. I have a 20 moa base and 45 moa adjustment at 200 yard im near the bottom of adjustment.

Peoples 24 ..... man it looks like I might be ok maybe with my 20 MOA Z rings and sightron 1o-50x60 moa-2 reticle on a AR10 with 24 inch barrel to get at least 1300 yards. I could use one of the moa lines as a hold over.
I would like to have the ERA-TAC mount though just in case.
I looked at EURO-OPTICS web sight but don’t have any idea what their talking about on their specs on the mounts ?
I think they give numbers on how high each model is but don’t understand in their spec when they give a 34 or 36 or 40mm number as a tube size ? I will have to call them to find out how to read the specs on their mount. Marty

Those numbers are the scope mount centerline height.

Peoples24 thanks. I need to try to figure out what size I would need. It is always a impossible task for me. I have Burris z rings on my guns now. I have bought 5 sets of z rings the last year from brownells and each time I have had to return them because not tall enough or even to tall on 1 gun. I have 4 total used sightrons 10-50x60 and want one ode these ERA-TAC mounts. I wish I could find a retailer in Midwest ( I live in muscatine Iowa ) that carriers them stick so I could bring my gun and scope to them and make sure what model fits the best for height. Marty

Im am going to get a sightron s3 on my rifle for next season i think. I have the athlon argos btr 8-34×56 on it now, i think im moving it over to my rimfire postal gun. I live in the midwest also, terre haute, indiana area. I wish i had a place to try a mile, our club does a longest shot comp but minimum caliber is 300 win mag. They do it in late oct early November too.

Peebies I know what you mean. I have only lived Muscatine Iowa 3 years. I have one place I can pay 30.00 a day to shoot to 750 yards. Guy has gongs all set up. Impossible to find a place to deer hunt with out paying 2000 to $4000 for a lease. Unbelievable. Same way in norther ILL were I am from. I use to live in North Dakota. What a great state state for hunting , fishing , target shooting. I moving back their in 5 years when I retire.
You will like the Sightron lll 10-50x60. Buy a used ones like I do on this sight. Some times you can get one for $600.00. They have a hell of a warranty. I had issues with one of my used one. They honored the warranty. Fixed it no charge. They have a great value. The reason they come up for sale here some guys upgrade to a nightforce. For me not enough difference in the glass for the money. Only thing is I whish they had a little more moa. Buy the moa-2 reticle and you can use it to hold over and it will give you a little more moa. Marty

I think there is enough built in for 1k f class comp. I was looking at hawke but it appears they have paralax issues past 300 yard. For the same price its a no brainer.
