Lets say I am shooting at 1000 yards and I run balistics with the rifle set at zero and I have a 360 inch drop at 1000 yards.
I am interested in using a burris black diamond 8-32x scope which only has 39moa of internal adjustment.
Thats roughly 19 moa vert if the mount is perfect.
I need 36 moa to compensate at 1000 yards. 20 moa from the mount and 16 moa from the scope.
Fine. Now lets say I want to shoot at 100 yards with the same rig. From the way it looks I would not be able to zero the rifle at 100 yards unless I am wrong.
I guess a nightforce with 50 moa internal would help, but I really dont want to spend that much on a scope.
Anybody have a link on how to set up a long distance scope and retain some function at lower yardages.
