*** SEPTEMBER 11-12 2010 GARAND, SPRINGFIELD, VINTAGE
MILITARY RIFLE AND CARBINE CHAMIPIONSHIP ***
This competition will be conducted in four separate matches. The competitor
may elect which rifle he/she shoots in each match. The competitor must
shoot the M-l Garand, Springfield, and Vintage Military Rifle to be eligible
for the three gun aggregate award (GSM). The competitor must shoot the
M-l Garand, Springfield, Vintage Military Rifle, and the Carbine for the four
gun aggregate award (GSMC). All firing will be from the 200 yd. line on SR
Targets. Ammunition will be provided for the M-l Garand, Springfield, and
Carbine Rifles. The Vintage Military Rifles are required to furnish their own
ammunition unless 30-06 M2 Ball will function in their rifle.
Location: Quantico MCB Range 4
Saturday:
Match 1: Either rifle may be used in this match; Garand,
Springfield, Vintage Military Rifle, or Carbine. The
course of fire is as follows:
Stage 1: 5 Sighting shots and 10 shots for record in a time limit of
15 minutes.
Stage 2: 10 shots for record from standing to prone in a time limit of
80 seconds
Stage 3: 10 shots for record from standing in a time limit of 10
minutes
Stage 4: (for Carbines only) 10 shots for record from standing to
sitting or kneeling in a time limit of 60 seconds
Match 2: Same format as Match 1.
Sunday:
Match 3 and 4: These matches are the same format at March i.
Match 5: Aggregate ofthe matches in which three rifles (the M-l
Garand, Springfield, and Vintage Military Rifle) are used.
Match 6: Aggregate ofthe matches in which all four rifles are used.
