QR type rings on a comp gun- anyone used??

HI
My 30BR is finished but the scope set aside for it has gone MIA.

I want to use it for VFS, hunter class as well as LV/HV

I am limited to 6X for hunter

Has anyone ever used QR type rings and bases for a comp gun??
If yes what ones and how much POI change did you get when swapping scopes over??

How much POI change on average do people get when changing scopes up and down their power range??
the reason I ask about QR mounts etc is I have a 6X scope already
and a mate can lend me a L 24 fine X-hair for the other comps till I can save the $$ for a new scope

What 6- variable do you suggest I look at to eventually replace the 2 scopes with if I go down that route.

thanks
later

I use the quick detach scope bases and rings on some of my hunting rifles and am satisfied with them. They return to battery with less than 1 moa difference which is fine for most of my hunting. They work great to change out 2 different scopes on the same rifle. However, there's usually enough difference in factory base screw dimensions to make it impractical to swap those scopes between two different rifles. I suppose it could be done with enough attention but the Leupold QR bases and rings I've used won't work between rifles even of the same brand because of differences in base hole tolerance.

I use the Leupold PRW rings with a Weaver type rail on any F-Class Match Rifle of mine as long as the height is correct for barrel clearance. I have also used the QRW on a couple of hunting rifles with no ill effects. I find that they return with in 1 moa when removed and reinstalled and torqued to the same setting.

I've have three s/a 700 switch barrel rifles all wear 20moa Badger picatinny bases. I regularly interchange different scopes between them. Some of the scopes wear tactical rings and others Leupold QRW rings. I simply keep a record book listing the click adjustments needed to re-zero each scope to what action and with what caliber barrel. I've always been able to return to within less then 1" moa at 100yds repeatedly. Being the QRW rings have a narrower lug then the cross slots on the picatinny base I make certain that the scope are slid forward so that the ring lugs are making solid contact before I tighten them down. But I'm only using these rifles for shooting PD's and hunting not competition shooting.

Used the QR rings on my Rem700. It worked well with the original scope returning to the point of aim between trips to the range within 1/4 moa. Close enough it was hard to see any shift with changes in conditions too.

I tried using multiple scopes on the same bases and it didn't work well. I tried several different rings and three different scopes. The original scope lined up beautifully but the other two were 25 moa off to the left and there is no windage adjustment on the bases. If they make something in a quick release with windage adjustments or offsets like the Burris Signature rings I'd like to know.
