Q re Spectator Watching SW Nationals

Xerothermic

Silver $$ Contributor
I will be at the SW Nationals (Ben Avery) on 2/14/24 for some of the 600 yard shoots and to meet up with a member/ competitor from this site.

Just wanting to know what I can expect, as a spectator, as far as are the scores posted live so the non-shooters can follow along or is it up to the spectators to bring a spotting scope to eyeball the targets, is there an app where one can follow the shoot and is there an area where the spectators are corralled up to keep them from wandering around. Oh, is the 600 shot on the 1000 range?

Spectators are always welcome. Please feel free to come and talk to the shooters (when they aren't shooting or getting ready to shoot). Also it is recommended to bring a spotting scope or binoculars to view the targets. The firing line is elevated (located on top of a mound) so as long as you stay off of it you will be fine, but shooters might invite you up to look at their equipment.

Scores are posted as they come available on the bulletin boards at the building located at the 1000 Yard Line, and they will be posted online. The link to the scores will be online at desertsharpshooters.com

The 600 yard line is on the 1000 yard range, just 600 yards from the targets;):D.
