Q Re Lock, Stock & Barrel Order

i have never had an issue as i did with lock..stock&barrel..
i made a order on march 21 for a few things.. after looking at ther site for 3 weeks they had a dies for 4.95 i ordered 3 of them along with a lee cutter and 3 jaw chuck for a total of 38.90... after two weeks no sign or hair of it.. called 10 times no contact... emailed them and no responce... may 21 got an email from them saying its ready to ship and ther was a some discrepencies on the prices i emailed them back saying i ordered it at that price and after 2 months if you cant give it to me at the price i ordered it from cancle the order..your company seams to be at a great lose and should look for better help cause ther are many issues your people are having
here today a box shows up and bills me 152.90 to my card I call them up and they are like um uhh ok ok um yeah ok just send it back and we will send you a refund.. it should take 2-3 weeks to get you your money back….i told them sence its here I wish to get the items for what the price was when I placed the order.. no sorry we cant do that you can either keep them at that price or send them back for a full refund

My god I have never delt with a company that is so messed up as this one
And never again would I ever think of ordering some thing from them

Some one please explane to me how can some one stay in bussness with practices like this… I walk in to a store the item is marked 4$ I get it for the marked price… ther web site was marked at my first price for over 3 weeks…

So im sorry to say they lost a good customer and ill make sure I tell any one I ever talk to how bad ther company is…

rayjay: Yes, that "post" got my attention also. I've ordered from "Lock,Stock & Barrel", and found them to be first-class. After wading thru the "post", looked-up the RCBS die-set in my catalog. Still trying to figure out how a 3 die set that is clearly shown at $40.95 each can be expected to sell for $4.95! Oh well, yet another example of the "education' system that exists today. Suggestion, to the "complainer": before you bad mouth a company, better get your facts straight!

I've always gotten great service from this company. They also seem to have pricing that is better than many of the others.

As with any company, if they mis-mark a price on an item, they should make you whole,with a refund), but shouldn't be expected to lose money on the deal.

As a matter of fact, just yesterday I called them with a minor complaint and the first words back to me were "how can we make this right?" of which they immediately did to my total satisfaction.

Pretty stand-up in my book.

I don't remember ever buying anything from LS&B before, but this surely wouldn't stop me from doing so. This was an obvious typo that you HAD to know about and were trying to take advantage of. And to think that this if your first post on this forum. Did you really think the members of this site would see this your way...come on.

Anyone that owns a 454 Casull knows how much anything associated with it costs. The fact you ordered three shows you knew there was a discrepancy and where trying to capitalized on it. The day after you recieved the dies you where going to list two sets on the classifieds for the correct amount.

Well I'm taking Dave Jay's side. There was an ad in the local paper - 2009 Cadillacs for $495.00. I hurried down to the dealer to get three of them, had my check book out, and they told me they were $49,500 each. The old bait and hook scam.

I'm suing. After I win I'll be selling the extra two Caddys for $1000 each if anyone is interested.

I too have been a customer of LS&B for 20+ years and have never had an issue that was not quickly resolved in a courteous and professional manner.

If it looks too good to be true, it probably is.

As an informed buyer, you should know the reasonable price for the item you are purchasing. I don't think $4.95 for the RCBS die comes close to reasonable.

You have posted the same complaint on several other boards. So far, the only negative complaint has been your original post.

Add my support for LS&B in the positive column.

I never had any dealings with LS&B but I kind of doubt they priced a 40.00 item for 4.00 to try and bait up a customer. Looks like they have plenty of customers right here on the forum. it has Nothing to do about the price.. ok if they messed up they should of just said ther was a mix up... it tock over 2 Months for them to get the order to me.. i placed the order in march and last week of may i get the item.. and the only one time they did get in contact with me is to tell me ther was a price difference and to reply to ther email and witch i did email them back saying i dont want it.. thats the bad bussness right ther.. every one makes type errors once in a while.. but to handle every thing in that time frame and the mannor of how the delt with it is total bs

Well, sometimes within a business it takes time to find out all the particulars of a discreption,miss information, typo,) whatever the situation is or was. The main reason and concern a business owner would,should) be investigating such a problem would be to head it off and delete the source of the problem. Certainly not a one shot sale. Every sale is important but all continued sales are more important. More potiential customers are looking at that same ad or article from which you placed your order. I think you need to consider the whole picture and not isolate your problem and start abusing a company name. And yes, I am in business too and have been for almost 15 years. Certainly, I have purchased items that were priced wrong and had to back up and re-group but I did not jump on a forum somewhere and start druming down the seller or supplier. BTW, there is a lot of difference in $4.00 and $40.00. A polite phone call to LS&B is all it would have taken to reslove the whole matter before it ever was established. Hindsight is always 20/20.
