This farm is incredible. I've coveted it for years, with exclusive access for myself only, due to my extreme efficiency.
Not an affront to anyone, but spades are called spades. Very hot and extremely humid,I set up at 9 am and left at 6 pm.
I saw at least 25 GH's. I shot at 12 and dropped 12. The shots were as long as I wanted for the most part, ranging from 160 to 270 yards.I was shooting a cheap Thompson Center Venture, topped with an Athlon tiny floating dot first focal plane, Helos Btr GEN 2 6X24X56 APRS6 FFP IR, my trigger was done by Mcarbo in Florida a veteran-owned company, and is set at eight (8) ounces not recommended for amateur shooters, not a joke just a statement of fact, safe and drop tested. This outfit can shoot. I'm shooting a factory load HSM,35 grain Berger flat base match hollow point at 3829 fps with a BC of 0.176, decent enough wind bucking capability out to 300 yards. These gh's didn't know what hit them, two eye poppers at over 250 yards, and one two ripped and eviscerated at about the same distances.Addendum pictures below.

Nice shooting! How is that BOG Death Grip tripod working for you? Care to comment on your experience with it in the field?

By the looks of your post, it appears to be working out quite well, but would like to hear your opinion.

Ohlong, you're definitey killin', but no way chillin"! I'm sweatin' here in WV. Got deer #59 & 60 last night. Too hot for normal people, but I guess we don't fit in that category!

I'd have to agree with you. If it's 100 degrees, I hide in the shade and sit all day. Saturday, we'll do it again. Heat doesn't matter. Wearing 16 lbs of junk, a bulletproof vest level 3 inclusive, you either take the heat or go packing. A traffic crash on an interstate can leave you in direct sunlight for hours. Deal with it. Doctors aren't normal people, my son-in-law is a cardio surgeon, surgeon, and I'm a stone's throw from three others that live near me, way back in the woods.

This is my third year using it,I have no complaints whatsoever, the rifle locks in rock solid, swivels, legs adjust easily to the height you're comfortable with, when you tighten the rifle in the clamp it ain't moving, while they're other tripods that one can spend three times the price,I question what would be gained by doing so.I have a 99% hit ratio with it from 100 to 300 yards. Highly recommended, sturdily built. The bubble level tells you when she's level and , trust me it is.Amazon had the best price .Hope this helps.

THe Bog Pod is great. I have 3 different "strengths". With a handgun the Death Grip does not do well. Originally Bog made a PSR (precision shooting handgun rest). No longer made .but I have 3 of them. They are about as good as the Death Grip. My longest shot off of them was an unbelievable 565 yds. with my 6.5/.284 XP handgun on a crop damage deer. Did a kudu in Africa at 385, 1 shot, with the same gun & a 125 gr. Nos. PT.

I owned a TC Venture in 204. Very accurate rifle, accounted for a lot of Rock Chucks! I think I paid $250 for it new with a mail in rebate!

The TC is a real sleeper that many shy away from. You could buy the best 204 out there, and it wouldn't outshoot mine by a hair at best. A bonus is the 1/10 twist rate; most are 1/12. The TC handles from 24 to 40 handily. With a 50 yard zero run through Hornady's ballistic calculator at 300 yards, 1.36 drop, which means point and shoot at those ranges and no worries about missing.
