You will like it. very high quality.I could not help my self .have been using the RCBS press for maybe 35 years ,before that a Lyman . ordered a MEC ,tracking shows it will be here in a few days .mixed feeling about letting the rcbs go. maybe look for it on ebay
If I remember correctly Mec said that shell holder retainer was designed to allow for some float to occur and that can't be a bad thing.only thing I wonder about is the shell holder mechanism
When I first got it a long time ago, I didn't like the float in my Co-Ax and tried to do something about it. I discovered that it works best with the float.I replaced a worn out RCBS turret press with the MEC Marskman and Hornady LNL bushings. Have about 1500 rounds through it and love it. The floating shell holder is the only thing I don't care for. Too "floating" and sloppy, I'll be doing something to stiffen it up this winter.
The short throw with the short right handle on the Chucker, is hard to beat.
most likely it I'll get re-homed. its a JR 2. actually have 2 of them mounted to the benchWhat are you doing with the old RCBS?
I have wounded about turrets wearing it just seems like it would have to . some operations, other than sizing ,so what no big dealI replaced a worn out RCBS turret press with the MEC Marskman and Hornady LNL bushings. Have about 1500 rounds through it and love it. The floating shell holder is the only thing I don't care for. Too "floating" and sloppy, I'll be doing something to stiffen it up this winter.
