pulled the trigger on a new press

I think the Mec Marksman press is a highly underrated and often overlooked press. Like Infrequent Shooter said the build quality is high and overall the thing is built like a tank. Also, the way it is designed gives outstanding visibility when you are loading.

I replaced a worn out RCBS turret press with the MEC Marskman and Hornady LNL bushings. Have about 1500 rounds through it and love it. The floating shell holder is the only thing I don't care for. Too "floating" and sloppy, I'll be doing something to stiffen it up this winter.

I don't mind floating so much its the spinning that may bother me . is it possible to put a spring washer under the shell holder ? ok I don't have the press yet (as of 12/12/24) .at this point just shooting from the hip

I hope you really enjoy your new purchase.
Never saw one in person. From the two pics I see above it appears the handle screws into the press. I see exposed threads. ( maybe they’re not there) That first exposed thread is where the handle will break. Never could understand how some people break press handles but they do.
My point is having an exposed thread in this use should have been avoided. There’s way better designs.
But it’s just my observation.

When I first got it a long time ago, I didn't like the float in my Co-Ax and tried to do something about it. I discovered that it works best with the float.
