One could say ‘float and slop are good’.
The die determines the outcome. If you have some slop, that slop allows the case to enter the die stress free. ‘Enter’ is the operative word. Think ‘Wilson’ dies. No press at all. Sure you can use an arbor press or a mallet. I have a few Wilson set ups, but I just don’t care for them. They produce fine concentric cases.
I have 11 presses 7 of which are mounted. I use what is comfortable for me. I’m a 100 yard BR shooter. The target is all that counts. If one produces more accurate ammo than another I’d have only that one on my bench.
