Pull down 6mm remington

I'm pulling down some old reloads I acquired. 6mm remington with 62 gr fb hp. What I found strange was 9.3 gr of a flake powder. Anybody have insight of this?

Probably a reduced load using shotshell powder.
Have a study here:

It was common practice in the 60-70s . They even had reduced loads listed in NRA reloading . They had an article highlighting unique in many rifle cartridges. If I remember correctly 10 grs was the basic load for 30-06 size cases .
Better safe than sorry .
Some of the unique reduced loads shot extremely well .

I never shoot anybody else's reloads.

My reloads at least for 8 of my firearms are specifically only for the firearm tested in. My 357 Sig loads are European maximum, the 9MM are +P+, 44 magnum, 450 Marlin bolt rifle, the 6MM Remington, 223 bolt and 358 Norma are max loads. The 223 gas gun match loads are max loads.

My 30 carbine loads are safe tested in multiple rifles, my 223 gun plinkers are safe loads in multiple rifles, gas, break open and bolt rifles.
