I am making a public apology to Bartlein.My mistake was not talking to Frank first hand.Had a good conversation with him today.I will not make that error again. Damn that hurt ! Lesson learned before you put foot in mouth make sure you have not stepped in cat poo ! Thank You ! Ralph Mollett

Well, pain is a funny thing in this case. You went through it, and that sucks, but all of us have a ton more respect for you as a fellow man for saying what you have here.

Been there, done that. Had a issue with a Shilen barrel I ordered. Ordered for a Savage action and it came cut for a Remington? WTF??
Had planned on spinning it on and meeting the boys at the range. Well, that didn't happen. Mentioned it on an open forum, also sent a note to Shilen. Then wondered why I didn't hear back from Shilen?
Come to find out they were at the Shot Show for a week or so. Got a call in a day or so and apology from THE MAN. Treated me like a KING. I did apologize for being an ASS. Did get the barrel I ordered a few days later.
Shilen is #1 in my book. You never forget being treated RIGHT.
As I get older, it's easier to keep my mouth shut than running it and being seen as dumber than I really am.
A few years back, I jumped a guy on an open forum for being an Ass. He is/was BUT, it wasn't my place to let everybody else know. They already knew that fact. I did apologize to the guys on the forum for calling him out and for getting everybody else involved in the discussion. Roasted, Baked or Fried CROW isn't too bad with the proper seasonings.
