Busy or not, I could care less. If they quote 6-8 weeks, I expect at least some progress by the 8 week mark. When the 8 week turns into 16 weeks and my status is the same as week one, there is a PROBLEM. Price wise, the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. Don't get me wrong PTG makes fabulous high quality parts at a reasonable cost and I have a few. I will continue to buy from them except my reamers.Joe R said:Guys,
Get real, that's a very busy enterprise, they are not there to give concierge service. If you want that type of service you'll have to open your wallet a lot wider.
I bought a 6mm Competition Match reamer and go gauge. I had issues and had to make several calls to get the job done, but their price are excellent, and eventually everything got worked out. David Kiff even called me to educate me to make sure I got the right measurements on the reamer. In my book that's first class service at coach class prices. I've only bought once from them. I have no axe to grind. Seems some others here do.
Either lower your expectations or pay a premium by going to a different shop. You cast a vote on which business is going to thrive and which is going to fail every time you make a purchase. It seems to me that PT&G is capturing lots of votes.
Kindest regards,
Joe
Butch, I think you should go buy a Lotto ticket your a lucky man.butchlambert said:Never had one off spec. Why did you order more if that was the case? Kinda confused!
