PTG uni throater

Would I be better off ordering one from PTG or would it be better to order it from a reseller and pay more to avoid potential drama?

Probably better off with a reseller that has it in stock. I bought one from PTG, and they agreed to send what they had on hand. They said the handle was back ordered, but would send the reamer and holder, and would send the handle when it came in. 3 months later, everything showed up.

Manson Throaters can lengthen a Freebore/Throat and/or open up the diameter of your Freebore/Throat.

The PTG Uni Throater Hand Throating Reamer allows the gunsmith to accurately lengthen the throat in the rifle chamber, clean up throat erosion and increase freebore

So I’m confused, never used a uni…what’s the difference, sounds like they do the same thing?

I’ve always gotten the advice to be very careful with throaters in general because they can get away from you very easily.

The faces of Meth!

He should focus on making the tools he can't keep up with now, Instead of making new stuff that he won't be able to deliver.

There’s no difference in the two other than the fancy little depth of cut on the uni. Same as my .0005 dial indicator on my TS.

Not a different animal, gets you to the same finish line, one’s easier to use and way over priced.
I choose Manson reamer over a PTG brand any day of the week.
