PTG Bolt heads,

I'm getting all my parts together for a new build, I have a question about the bolt head I want to use, my action is a Savage M12 SA, currently chambered in 223rem, PTG offers a standard 308 bolt head listed for the 10/110 SA, my build is going to be 6.5 Creedmoor, I think this is the correct bolt head, can somebody confirm this?

Mark, if you keep going with this project, as I am doing, you just have to remember that long actions take a different bolt head than short actions. I have a long action so I can do most calibers, even magnums.

Go to Midway or Brownells to see if they have original Savage bolt heads in stock. IMO it is a much better choice.

I bought 1 from PTG today, It takes a SA standard 308win bolt head, for the 6.5CM conversion, I also purchased a Criterion 26'' threaded bull barrel in 6.5CM and 2 precision barrel nuts and 2 precision recoil lugs from NSS, along with a MDT Oryx stock from Optics Planet, I already had a trigger from yrs ago from SS supply that didn't work on my last build due to the bolt release, I bought a tactical bolt handle from gun shack last week, now I have to wait on the barrel it won't be here until the end of January, It's a good thing I have other projects to keep me busy!
