PTG / KIFF STRIKES AGAIN

Got a call from a fella yesterday who needs dies for his chambered CheyTac 40 Imp. 40 degree. No fired brass cause he has no dies. Ok, Send me the reamer drawing . Drawing is mathematically incorrect. From kiff I'm not surprised. This is like the 8th or 10th time I've seen this from Dave the D...

A bud rcvd a fresh, new reamer that was WRONG from what he ordered. He is a long time customer, lonnng time. It is a shame that the QC has fallen this much.

Gunsmithing - Pacific Tool & Gauge SUCKS!!!

It has been my previous experience that companies put items on sale, because they have inventory to liquidate... Apparently, PT&G likes to put items "on sale" that they haven't made yet. 2 months and counting waiting for Howa bottom metal... PT&G can choke on a bag of dicks...that is all.

Dang, this would explain a lot. My reamer I sent back ptg to be set back and sharpened. I chambered my new barrel and the reamer didn't get the throat set back. So no way to reach the lands with a bullet. Had already glued the action in the stock and was at the range with 2 weeks until the state shoot. Got it cut off and reamer back with 2 days to fireform brass. Would have cost me a fortune if I didn't do the work myself. Did well at the match with only one time at the range working on loads for it. Next day was the State shoot.

I have one with a 28” ratchet barrel. It’s a RPLP and the only issue I’ve found is the “tray” holding the case. You have to place the shell in right every time or it will fall off to the side. And believe me, it’s a PITA to get it back in the “tray”. Other than that, it’s a great copy of the beloved 40X!

Actually falls off to the right but, mine is a left port so it would be the same. Thank you for schematic I will be getting it on order!!

I”ll give it a try. Have a good friend with a machine shop who loves to tinker with gun stuff. I once did hear of using expoy to fill the gap but, that was something I wasn’t interested in. My friend made me this off a picture I gave him and a few measures

Update, emailed twice this week inquiring on an update with no responce.

Just threaten a chargeback and they'll send it. I had to do that when I waited almost 6 months for a bottom metal that was "in stock".

If it’s the Stiller Lonestar Action, the filler is machined as part of the receiver. One of the claimed improvements over a 40X.
