PT&G Lonestar rimfire action

Does anyone have any first hand experience with this action that you would share?

I have one on a prone rifle. Copy of the Remington 40X. Shoots good.

A member on another forum has bought a few of the PTG repeater actions and has had good luck with them

I really enjoy my single shot. I believe it’s a slightly modified 40x without any of the potential need to true up. If you’re a 40x fan and plan to shoot it, I’d go for it. If you’re a 40x collector, you probably won’t appreciate it as much.

Here's a pic of my Lonestar on the bottom and my Borden 6BR on top. Same scope, stock, Trigger Tech Diamond triggers, Remington bolt handles and very similar barrel profiles. Krieger 1-8 on the 6BR and a Shilen Ratchet on the Lonestar. They both shoot exceptionally well!

Good to hear the favorable reviews from other people. I bought mine secondhand from a member here and I am well satisfied. (I know that I gave too much but it's exactly what I wanted And, in my defense, I had had a couple of whisky drinks!)

I"m not sure it makes a difference but mine is a Stiller. It has come to my attn that there may be some inferior actions out there. Mine is a single shot RBLP. Gary

Mine is actually a Stiller also, but I’m confident it’s the same action. I bought mine second hand and had rebarreled. Also paid more than I probably should have but I wanted it. Mine is RBRP. Zero regrets.

Dave’s a great guy and I like him but PTG has just been flat out unreliable since the expansion years ago. Do yourself a favor and order from Manson (the other Dave) or JGS. Both will give you an honest lead time and you’ll get it by then or sooner. Both stock certain popular tools and gauges so depending on what you want you might get lucky and they may have it on the shelf.

No word as of now. If I don't hear anything after the quoted eight weeks I will check in for an update.

Over at snipers hide one of the guys has bought several repeaters , he said they are real good for the money , he does his own smithing and mentioned the actions - barrel threading were all timed the same and he could probably swap barrels
But he hasn’t bought a single shot

What aggravates me is when I called 2 weeks ago and questioned them about lead times, they acted like they could have them ready to ship in a week, I really hope it works out for you, I guess I don't enough patience.
