PT&G 40x Rimfire Repeater Actions

Good job? I wasn’t take a shot at anyone. Just offering my OPINION on what would be the best custom option….
Two points, first, I didn't say you were taking a shot at anyone, I said, not everyone can afford that. Second, he didn't ask for anyone's opinions on the "best customs". He asked what people thought about PT and G for a custom build. That is a far different question than, "what would be the best custom build?". Even is he did ask that, depending on the game he plays, that may or may not be the "best custom" for him.

Lastly, what does "good job?" mean?

Best custom option for what? Please explain why your 'OPINION' is relevant to the OP's question? Do you work for, or are related to David Lott? Do you know, other than the 100yd comment made by the OP, what the OP's primary use is for his upcoming build? I don't from the posts.

Scott
Best custom option for a custom 22 that is accurate as possible. He said he was considering going for a custom. I told him to skip the bs (PTG) and go straight for one of the best smiths out there. I’m sorry if that’s hard for you to comprehend…..

No affiliation with Mr Lott other that I’ve owned a couple of his builds….

I paid a lot of money for a custom and, I never even considered a Vudoo. It is NOT the best gun for the game I play.

Good for you…. He asked about repeaters…..
Well, to be accurate, he asked for opinions on the "40X" repeater. That is a long way off price wise from a vudoo. Glad to see you are being a helpful and friendly contributor after 3 weeks here. Not a single comment you made answered, or even related to the OPs question.

I answered his question. I said skip the ptg (because everyone knows they are hit or miss) and get something you know you’ll be happy with….

You also told him Vudoo and I DO comprehend your snotty BS on this thread quite well. How do you know he'll be happy with a Vudoo? I know tons of people with very good pedigrees in sanctioned RFBR who won't own a Vudoo if you gave them one. Guess you're 'comprehending' that because you love them so everyone else should as well. Pretty darned self-absorbed, aren't you?

You did not even come close to answering the OP's question. The one with comprehension issues is you. He didn't ask for opinions on other actions, or for opinions about gunsmiths. HOW much of that did YOU comprehend? NONE of it!! That's a fact that anyone who can read this thread will see. It's all in black and white.
Contentious and argumentative members are one reason I don't post much on forums. You are very good at both of those. So, as soon as I hit the 'Post Reply' button, I'll go to the section that allows me to put members like you into the 'Ignore' category and I won't see your 'opinions' about things nobody asked about anymore. Bye, bye Troll!

I never think to do that...thanks for reminding me. #1 on my ignore list.

You guys are pretty touchy over here lol. He asking about a repeater action….. do people in RFBR use those? Stupid is as stupid does….

Long lead times. Friend just took possesion of one and had a barrel installed. I picked it up for him because I was in the area. I really only ran the bolt back and forth a bit and did not spend much time with it. Brand new action seemed a bit gritty and a bit unflrefined on machine work. Basically it was a little rough but may come out if that in short order with a few thousand rounds. Thats my minimal experience take on the matter.
You mentioned Bergara. I rebarreled mine and it was a great shooter. Smooth bolt slide but the detent on the bolt caused a very nasty click on open before it cammed all the way. I smoothed that detent out and it helped a lot but it always bothered me.
You mentioned RimX... have had 2 and put together another half dozen. That would be my choice. I know you are on a budget but buy once cry once. They are not perfect either but rimfires kind of have their own issues.

Better watch out. He mentioned bergara and rimx but the tread is about ptg…. The Karen’s may attack you for not staying on topic . Apparently it’s also snooty to suggest something expensive….

Yeah, and sometimes you take the advice of a brand new guy, that just happens to live near a certain company that he recommends and then, the company goes belly up and takes your money.
