Is tuner weight a factor in the PRX formula for rimfire tuning? I see weight sets for tuners so I assume there’s more to the problem than just dimensions.

Depends on your barrel length if you will need a weight set

Forget all about prx. Just my 2 cents worth. I've tested it a lot and found it to be irrelevant to tuning a rifle.

So it's not about dimensions at all, but about where a particular amount of weight is applied to the muzzle?

Yes, that is correct. tuning is about timing the bullet's exit. with the exact weight at the muzzle, you can alter when the bullet will exit the barrel as it moves in its elliptical pattern.
