PRVI .243 brass

I'm going to be forming 6SLR brass from 243 brass. To do this, some of the shoulder material will become neck material. Does anyone know if the PRVI brass shoulder material is more like Winchester or Lapua?
Although I plan to seat bullets above the neck/shoulder junction, I would prefer to not form a "dreaded donut" - just in case.

The only way for sure to know is to hack saw one in half and measure it with a ball mic.My guess is it is heavier walled at that point. It is on lapua.

I don't know yet. I bought 300 pieces for a 243ai barrel I have on order. And I would also like to use more of the same brass for a planned 6SLR build.
The PRVI brass looks just like Lapua and it is cheaper than Winchester.

Jon, I hate to hack a perfectly good piece of brass in half, so I came up with a better way if nobody comes up with an answer to my question.
We're currently in Snyder, TX and on our way to NC. Once I get there, I'm going to size a piece of my PRVI brass to 6SLR dimensions, then I will find a bolt or drill bit or turned down bullet that will just fit in a sized case neck and feel to see if a donut formed.

Hi Nomad, where are you buying the Privi brass and at what price per 100?

I sized three pieces of the PRVI 243 brass while sitting in a RV Park in Louisiana yesterday. And the conclusion is that the shoulder material is thicker than the neck material causing donuts when sizing the brass to the 6SLR shape.

Graf & Sons, $40 per hundred. I just ordered 300 more so I sure hope they work in a 6SLR.
Thanks for the comeback. I will order some from them. What part of Louisiana were you in while sizing the brass? SEMPER FI!

Dixie Inn, near Minden, and a few miles east of Shreveport. We're now in Lumberton, NC - exit 22 I-95. And tomorrow we will park in Kinston, NC for a little over a month.
