PRS in Wva

The reason for questions on this is if it's possible to generate this shooting discipline in to Wva we will need some guidance on the format an how the operation works.

You'd probably need to talk to some of the match directors currently putting on matches. There's a FB page
for the PRS. You could reach out to Shannon Kay there, and I'm sure he could offer some guidance.

I know quite a few guys in eastern WV and Bland, Va area that shoot prs. But they aren't on this forum. I think you know the guys at Bang Steel, they can help you get the word out.

@Stan Taylor , If they put a good match together and advertise some, (PRS website, FB or other social media) I'm sure they'll get shooters coming. We aren't as serious as most but still drove as far south as Ashland KY and as far north as Youngstown to catch a couple matches this past summer. Many will drive further. If they have a decent amount of real estate to spread out, more range options are always great. If they schedule it on Saturdays that don't conflict with a steel match we shoot, I'll try to support it all I can.

What kinda range is in Ashland? I spend a few weeks working in that area every year.

They have a prs match roughly one a month. Find it on Facebook @ NEKFG will bring it up. Their range goes to 700yds but they had a good and fun coarse of fire. North East Kentucky Fish and Game is the name of the range. Great guys there.

Used to shoot f-class matches there before moving back to Wisconsin. They used to hold steel matches, shooting out to 600. The match director, JC?, was an interesting guy and a good shooter. There is always PNTC(Peacemaker) on the east side of the state. Have to say the winds there were the trickiest I have encountered.

I could probably get a few guys interested.I live in Petersburg and it's just a hop from Buchannon.Just a simple steel match of some kind might be a good way to get something started. You might talk to John Markwell,I think he works on the Allegheny Sniper Challenge.Maybe he could be of help.

WV definitely needs some more PRS matches. It's my understanding that PNTC has recently changed ownership. The PRS has created a new region that is VA, WV, MD, NC and SC.
