Prs F-tr hybrid system

Good Day
I'm currently a prs shooter , I'm waiting a 308 rifle currently, I'm looking to dip my toes into F-TR as well, I'm also a student in Uni so at this point 1 rifle is what I can run and practice efficiently with
I have been running a chassis system in prs and ELR (1 mile prone ) on a 6.5 creedmoor that works absolutely perfectly for its purpose, and absolutely love it
I'm looking to have a setup which can be used to shoot PRS and F-TR , by dropping weights and changing Optics and loads
It's not ideal , I know but currently this is what is available to me
My options are getting the same chassis system and using a bag rider and then dropping weights for Ftr
Or
Building a wood stock or composite, with Mlok slots for side weights, an arca rail , and a true F-TR buttock to track easier
I Don't have access to other stocks as I'm in South Africa
Unfortunately I do not know how a stock will be in either discipline as I've never tried one
But I need something that can be feasible in both disciplines until I decide on one

Just run your PRS rifle in a match and see how you do. Afterwards contemplate what thing you could change to have done better during the match. Think about scope, rest, rear bag, ect. Did the chassis design hinder you? I doubt the chassis will hinder your performance at all.

Hi so my 6.5 is sold
So I'm at the cross roads of going back to chassis or stock currently

Since you are a student and only one rifle is doable right now, I would build one specific to whichever sport you think you are more inclined to participate in most. Face it the action, barrel and scope are the key factors in an accurate rifle. You can shoot a chassis in F Class but you would be hard pressed to you a wooden stock in PRS. You could build the rifle as a dedicated PRS gun and later get a wooden or composite stock bedded to the action and swap the stock out depending on what match you will be shooting. Just a thought. I am a cheap SOB..

I personally would have kept the 6.5 and shot it off a bipod in F-open, with a good F-class bipod and rear bag you can hang with the front rest. Still may want to think that route. You may want to think of going to a composite stock like a Manners of some flavor that can be used effective in PRS also.
