DHuffman,I wouldn't change anything, looks great
I like it. Thanks bud, will consider the name.P.T.O.
I have a straight fluting program I could easily adapt to do this if there are enough requests. There would only be 4 flutes most likely but would look complete when viewed from the loading port. Just hard to write a program for only one bolt. That straight should slide over rounds underneath fairly smoothly.
Are you able to not flute the area that rides over the magazine like impact does?
Razor
I like your explanation, definitely in the running! Thanks bud.Thrust Vector
It's a term used for making aerobatic maneuvers, trust vectoring, changing direction using trust as opposed to flight. To me the bolt pushed forward to load is the thrust and the vector is the rotation to lock up into battery. Your flutes emulate and illustrate that action. Maybe a little too much!
Call me stupid, but please do tell.... A) is there more then a cosmetic reason? B) 4th axis with a canned cycle?Working on a really cool and aggressive style of fluting. First attempt in aluminum just to get something in metal. Maybe a little more twist or not? Open to all comments and suggestions . Need a cool name as well.... Let me know what you guys think!
Thanks, Paul
