If it were ever able to pass (which I doubt it would see the light of day) it would put us on a slippery slope. People who THEY deem "unfit", as in conservatives, would NOT be allowed to have guns because, according to THEM, we are unenlightened, therefore by definition, mentally defective!

Does this mean he believes only old geezers are capable of murder, rape, robbery and other firearms crimes? I don't recall any recent mass murderer over 30 yrs. old. And it won't get any better with another Clinton in office.

According to the census and social security administration there are 12,000,000 people over the age of 110 living in America. Our Country is a Cluster Fu&k at the moment. Hell wouldn't be to difficult to make fake bills of sale. I doubt this will ever come to light

The VA has that policy in place now!
A family member that cannot see well enough to take care of bills was deemed incompetent to manage affairs ???, thus cannot own firearms now.

I'VE seen this too. If i'm not mistaken they tried to get this pushed through on any Vet that has a diagnosis of PTSD or TBI. To my knowledge they haven't gottenve the latter two through, but being blind doesn't make you ineligible to own a firearm, this will be overturned once this POS and his brown shirts are out of office.
