Why on earth would Proof's in-house rifles run Lone Peak, Bighorn/Zermatt actions, among others?

It's my understanding that the owner of Proof is at least part owner at Defiance.

I believe those are the same in terms of tenon specs and prefits - assuming the updated version of the Tenacity with the integral lug. @Hoodoo sells prefits for these so he can confirm or correct me.

Have used them all. But Proof is the only barrel I still use from the 3 manufacturers here. Not a fan of the other two.

I've never had a McGowen, like my X-Caliber but not in love with it. I would like to try a Proof. I had a 34" custom tapered Lilja that was chambered in .300 Lapua, bad azz. I'd like to get my hands on a Tenacity to fondle it.

Yep it’s located in the north eastern part of Wisconsin. So anyone ever thinking about moving to the Kalispell area just be sure to buy a house up in north east Wisconsin and you’ll be set. The town is spelled different on the maps but don’t pay attention to any of the that

I have Dan's barrels and am very happy. As for Proof carbon fiber, I would like to get one of theirs for my 16" AR10 build and see for myself but they are up to a year out with many resellers.

I had no issues getting my Proof carbon barrel on a 300 Norma Mag Improved to shoot very well. You will find countless success stories about excellent accuracy with Proof carbon and all steel cut rifle barrels all over the internet.
VNVet-- That comment from your local barrel maker sounds like he’s just trying to discredit Proof to promote his own carbon barrel wrapping business because I have never heard that comment from anyone anywhere about Proof barrels.
