Prone shooting?

My rifle is zeroed at 100 yards on the bench, however when I shoot prone the rifle shoots high. What causes this to happen?

You have more body mass behind the gun when you shoot from prone. Off the bench is more like shooting offhand in terms of how you 'ride' the gun through the recoil. In prone it can't just push your shoulder back, so it hits your shoulder and then the muzzle comes up a smidge, along with your impact.
