The world of powder throwers has not been adequately explored in my opinion. It seems to me that a thrower with interchangeable hemispherical cavities would be the way to go. The adjustment range for any particular cavity would be only 5 grains or so. With highly polished hardened surfaces, very consistent charges should be obtainable. This would make trickling kernels a very short process. This along with a very sensitive scale would make things go quite fast.

The Prometheus II is repeatable to a single granule of Varget, that's like .02gn. Can a tuned CM really do that without trickling up on a separate scale? Ok I just read gunamonth post on that. I'd probably never get one cause of the cash outlay but that single kernel automated trickler is is so cool, yes sheer electro-mechanical lust.

I have to send my CM back, the keyboard is FUBAR right now. Guys is your display temperature sensitive on your CM? Over 95 deg mine displays a bunch of crap that you can't read.

Until you've verified it can, it can't.
The CM like any Precision scale, is delicate and has to be taken care of. It's not made to be lugged around, left and used outdoors. If this is what you're doing, then RCBS doesn't owe you anything.

Look, there are plenty of reviews, testing, programming, DIY mods, and user information out there for ChargeMasters.
I cannot find anything on the Prometheus. I don't know how easy it is to use (charge, change powders, setup),, Or even how much one costs, or where to get one.
Until that changes, I'm doubting a Prometheus is better [overall] than MY ChargeMaster. In fact, I'm content to discount anything out there about the Prometheus, as folklore.
