McGowen contacts

I’ve tried to reach someone on the McGowen team and have not had much luck. Does anyone have any other contact information or have them contact me?

I’ve heard some good things about their barrels and want to try one out.

I emailed the email listed above on Mar 28 and had a response within 11 minutes.

They did have someone have a stroke from their office in the last two weeks, I can’t recall his name as they had to delete their Facebook for some reason. Maybe Dan?

I believe he was head of operations so they may be closed down/slow to respond due to that reason.

Don't feel bad i tried few years ago to call somebody there left message after message no response, there's better customer service out there trust me and I lived in the same town then.

thank you for the replies. It sounds like just a lot of unfortunate circumstances have happened lately. Certainly thought and prayers to the team there.

I would recommend you go elsewhere. Last year I ordered an AR15 barrel. When I receive new barrels I always run patches down them to clear any cutting oil or cuttings. This one snagged the patch off the jag on the gas port. I could tell with a bore scope it was drilled with dull cutting equipment. The chamber also was not cut straight with tool marks on 1/2 of the rifling ahead of the freebore. The bore was clean and the rifling looked good. The gun smiths just didn't do as well as the barrel reamer and rifling guys. I tried it but couldn't get more than a dozen rounds down it before it started ripping jackets and the whole " Cowboy whizzing ricochet" sound would start. After cleaning and shooting for about 100 rounds and copper was still coming back, I sent it back. 3 months later I finally was able to catch someone manning the phone, since my emails were never returned, and he said it was in specifications and if I didn't want that barrel to send an additional 35% of the original price and they would send a new one.?>?>!!!
At that point I asked for a refund minus 35% and was turned down. I was done and said to keep the barrel and I would write it off to a $375 lesson learned.

My .02 cents, I've been using Mcgowen barrels for over ten years. The last one I ordered took a little longer them normal, but was great as always. Dan Wynn was my contact before, calls and emails quick responce. Asked a question to Sam their the new contact person, and got a reply about four days later, my reply to him is still pending over three weeks now. Love their barrels but customer service has gone down the crapper, not sure what has happened, but I wish someone their would get there act together.

Waiting for my .223 1:6 twist AR barrel, now 10 weeks out. Going to try to stretch to 1000 yards. Had good luck with a 6mm Grendel from them.
