Got my 6BR Pac-Nor barrel installed on my Savage SA single shot. Don't have my Rayhill stock ready yet, so bolted the thing into an old factory laminated stock, the one that resembles a 6x6. After the 4th round, no more copper. This is a pic of shots 8, 9 & 10. Needless to say, I am pleased, as this brass was not prepped in any way other than a chamfered neck. Right out of the box, literally. Didn't size it, as I don't have a die yet. Stuck a 450 in it, dropped 29.5 grs. of ancient Varget, topped it with some VERY old,the hollow points were green) Hornady 87 gr. BTHPs and shot it.

Slickest barrel I've ever felt. Can't wait to shoot it some more. Brake and FL die from the Brothers Harrell ordered.

Will keep you posted.

My thanks to all who've helped me here with this project, you guys are great.

Rich,

I was happy with a .385" for five and four in .250" or so, but you beat that, Dang it!,I did push one wide.) Same deal, old Savage 10FP, brass right out of the box, no prep other than a quick neck chamfer.,Like you, no sizing die yet.) For fire-forming we also used 29.5 Varget, CCI 450s, but 105 Scenars jammed in the lands. This group was with 30.0gr Varget, but the lower charge shot just as well.

Pac-Nor is turning out some pretty fine tubes I'd say. I saw no copper after 12 rounds, but I didn't use a brush! One slick barrel let me tell you...

Am going to try again and shoot Fri afternoon and Sat during the day. Have some 80 BT's to try, 88 Berger LD's, 87 V-Max, 95 VLD Bergers, some others, like the 107 SMK and 105 A-Max.

We should finish up the 600 yard range this weekend. Sure is nice to walk 50 feet out the basement door and be able to shoot out to 600.............. :D

BTW, what size bushing is everyone using for no-turn brass? I have some that I turned, just cleaned it up, and am using,at least, I WILL be) a 267 bushing for that.

Thanks.
