Progressive reloader's

I have been hand loading my 6mm Norma shells, on a Forrester Co-Axel, using a PACK powder measure and RCBS hand primer set. It takes a lot of time. Does anyone load on a progressive? And if you do are you getting the same consistency as hand loading. I would like to speed things up a bit. Any suggestions?

Use bushing dies and it works fine. You might want to have two sets of dies so you can keep them set up for co-ax and progressive. Saves a lot of time and hassle.

I use a prgressive to load but, for match ammo, it's not going to be that much faster.

There's an article about how Whidden uses his progressive to load killer ammo. I do the same.

I also use a dillon for match grade ammo, and it can be done using high quality dies.I get runout of a .001 or less at times. You just have to slow down.

shot410,
I don't use a progressive press anymore as a matter of a fact I don't own one, but I certainly won't argue with the likes of John Whidden. But what I have recently found out is I have been having around .003 -.005 runout on my loaded rounds and couldn't figure it out? The worst runout on the brass out of the rifle was under .001 and most much less than that. I have new redding and forster dies and a new T7 turret press ??? That dang T7 has .0035 tip to the turret as soon as the shell holder came in contact with the seater stem. So between sizing and seating some rounds were out .005 and a few even more. Did the next batch on a cheap aluminum rcbs partner and loaded rounds were from less than .0005 - .002 @ the most, with the most under .001 You might want to see how much play your turret has on your progressive before you start loading. I now have a $250 green door stop >:(

ridgeway,
I can't stand junk, I am going to attempt to build a new shoulder bolt and bushing with tighter tolerances if that doesn't tighten it up it will be on classifieds ;)
