Profiling a Harrells muzzle brake??

Phil

Gold $$ Contributor
I`m curious if this is a thumbs up or a no no......

I have a Harrells radial muzzle brake that measures .750.

I want to turn it down to .700......

Will i be ok doing this or will i foul something up???

Phil.

As long as there is plenty of internal steel left, you'll be fine...
You'll want at least .250 on the side walls....

If Preacher is correct about the .250 sidewalls, and I certainly don't doubt that he is, anything above a .223 cal. will leave you less than the .250 thickness on a .700 diameter brake after you drill the brake .020-.030 over bullet diameter. A call to Harrells may be in order.
