Product to produce High Gloss finish for gunstock?

So nobody has ever used Duracoat gloss paint??

Most here probably have at some point.
Apples and oranges though when comparing to superior products like aliphatic polyurethanes/clear coats.

After finishing to keep it shiney tip. Last year I got back into cars and bought an old Corvette which was grungy and dull, so I did a lot of research on correction. Last week I utilized a similar procedure on a rifle stock. First buff the stock, I used Flitz because it was in the gun room. Clean with isopropyl. Spray with Turtle Wax Hybrid, a combination of carnauba and ceramic protectant. Buff to a shine, very quick and easy. Apply several coats to achieve a durable high gloss. AND it is extremely slick to facilitate bag riding! The auto "waxes" have come a long way recently.

So would that wax take the oil finish wood so common on shotguns, for example, to the wet looking finish they used to use?

The high gloss finish on that stock is finishing oil currently, but to improve and maintain the gloss, I would use a proper firearm stock wax like the slippery dicks.

Btw, I have nothing to do with the company and their the adding, but I like the final finish it gives on the stock.

Clear it auto urethane if you want a high gloss wet look that is durable and easy to maintain...

I don't think this one has been mentioned so I'll throw it up. Has about the same gloss as Tru oil but seems much more durable.

I got some of this and it leaves terrible swirls. Any tricks to fix that?
