Just ordered a Timney trigger for my XB2. Browning adjustment still almost 4lbs and will go no lower. I definitely like my trigger to break between 2-2.5 lbs. Have used Mcarbo on a few Tikka's and loved their new spring approach. They worked and worked great! BUT, Mcarbo does not sell a spring for the XB2,,, so, Timney it is.
Any helpful hints when doing the install of the Timney trigger?
UPDATE:
Trigger received and had no problem on assembly. PROBLEM was the safety would not travel once Action Screws were tightened - even slightly. I did some Dremel removal on inside of stock - probably more than I should have - but could not get the safety to engage/disengage properly.
The trigger itself worked just fine - w/o tension. I took the safety bar off and reassembled - tightened down as it should be. Bolt worked and trigger would fire. Put the safety bar on and what a nightmare.
Took the Timney off and put factory back on - working as it did. Guess factory trigger will remain and I can live with that. I just really want the trigger pull lighter than Browning really allows.
Anyone know what the solution is for the Timney to work properly?
