Problem with 1911 9mm extractor

Got a new bullet proof extractor for my rock island 1911 9mm,it says pretty much drop in ,I couldn’t even get any pressure on a round I slide up to it,tried bending,filed down the pad a little still no help.the hook wasn’t even close?

Did you order the correct caliber, there is a difference.

Set it side beside the one you took out and compare them. Just because you ordered the right one does not mean they sent the right one..

If it matches the original one, then something else is wrong, spring, etc. not back in place when you reassembled or something.
