Priority Mail ............tracking number

I ship a lot by Priority Mail. Just found out you can check progress via tracking number just like UPS. I use click and ship and they e mail me the receipt. Just click on the number and it gives you the locaton of the package. I know, a lot of you already knew this, but I bet some did not! Jim

Jim,
I'm not sure if your calling the DC (Delivery Conformation) # a tracking #...its hit and miss when using it seeing where your package actually is, sometimes it shows and sometimes it doesn't......but it will definitely tell you when its delivered. ;)

I guess the $8 billion a year they lose is trivial to the cost of Obamacare and less dangerous to your health.

Must be the same commenter I see on CNN.com............
WhiteWinger hilarity.

If the USPS wants more of this business, they will have to provide timely and accurate tracking.

The biggest problem with the the postal service is getting reimbursed for lost packages. Expect a 3 to 4 month wait for reimbursement and lot's of paperwork. We lost several international packages and were never paid back. The postal service said when the package went out of the country and their control, they weren't paying the claim. We only use UPS now.

KUDOS to the USPS!! They FINALLY figured out how to implement a real tracking system. And, as mentioned earlier in this post, it does work. The online system is easy and works well for creating labels. Long delays for receiving goods should be a thing of the past using the 'cheap' flat rate system, "If it fits it ships".
I love it!!

Checked my E-mail and it is a delivery confirmaton number. I used click and ship and they e-mail me a copy of the confirmaton. It is also printed when you print your shipping label. For the first time, I clicked on the number and there was the shipping info. I shipped a Nightforce scope from Martinsburg Wv to Idaho. It showed when I created the labe, dropped off at the local PO, etc all the way to delivery time. Will check next one to see if it is works again. By the way, shipping was $15 and change and insurance was $17 and change!!
