Looking at what I have, how do you rate the above primers for benchrest? Right now I have been using Rem 7 1/2 but getting very low but I have some CCI 41's, some Wolf sr and srm and maybe a few hundred of the old WW sr in the white box as well as a couple hundred Fed srm.

Been using the Wolf sr for my 6mm Grendel gas gun. Was thinking the Wolf srm and Rem 7 1/2 were pretty close.

Thanks

Not a expert but do have my $00.02
A few years I bought 1000 wolf sr mag because it was all I could Find they serviced the purpose in a variety of guns
This year I’ve been using them to fire form and fouler shoots in a 6BrX saving my 450’s for matches. I was told Sat. I was doing it backwards shoot the wolf in the match and use the 450’s for fire forming this good shooter Said that all he used when he could find them
So there you have it

These are primers I had just stuck in a corner in my shop and forgot about them. Wish I could find some more. Wish I had bought a bunch more too!!!

They all shoot slightly different patterns as per the individual rifle, I only found one that I couldn’t use at all.

Are the CCI 41's a good replacement for the CCI BR4 primers ? I cannot find any BR4's anywhere. Is anyone on here willing to sell a box of 1000 ?

Wolf and Tula primers tend to be fairly mild as far as compound goes. The magnum primers are reputed to have max heavy cups. A lot of people claim that the Wolf/Tula/Morum primers have similar compounds but just avry in the cups. 223, 223 magnum and SR magnum if I recall. I recently, like this weekend tried a few Wolf 223 primers in my 6x47L with H4350. They all produced a hangfire which if you hadnt just fired normal ammo you might not have noticed.
Years ago I bought a couple thousand Wolf LRM primers which produced very good accuracy in WSMs. And hangfires, and if you used lighter striking fireing pins like Savage and Browning you might see and occasional misfire. Remis not so much.
Remi 7 1/2 is considered a magnum BR primer which will lite off most loads. The cups are very sturdy.
I like the CCI BR4 and have good performance with them. The CCI 41 seems comparable to the BR4s. I havent used enough of the 41s to have a valid opinion. And I havent been able to find a 450 to try.

Rebs I think the 41’s are mainly used in mil. Rifles like 5.56 never shot them
I order some powder from powder Valley yesterday and the 450’s were out of stock not sure about the BR 4’s
