Primers not fully seating

When you find yourself fighting primer pockets, there are solid carbide tools that will fix this problem, quick and easy.

I use a Whitetail carbide primer pocket tool chucked in a half inch drill ran on very slow speed, other tools are available.

If your primer is sticking out to where the bolt seats or grinds off some of the primer material in order to close the bolt, you are in trouble.

Ok, I need to fess up. I initially tried to use a hand primer for these cases, but found I couldn't get them started very 'uniformly'. Ergo I used the Rockchucker assembly. For what ever reason, I went back to the hand primer with these partially primed cases and I was able to fully seat the primers! I guess the threaded part of the rockchucker primer ram has shortened over the years. It is made out of Aluminum after all. So, I feel a little sheepish fessing up to this, but perhaps a lesson learned for all?

I appreciate the education bestowed upon me. I've been out of the reloading game for far too long. I blame Obama.
