Well you went from a plastic sissy pistol to a real (CZ) Pistol. Nothing wrong with that. But you’d also likely have found a CZ75 to be equally as rewarding.
but the 40B they only made about 3,000 of them and you won't find many in the U.S. looks like a 1911.Well you went from a plastic sissy pistol to a real (CZ) Pistol. Nothing wrong with that. But you’d also likely have found a CZ75 to be equally as rewarding.
When I shoot my pistol, it’s like a motorcycle. Dripping oil all over the damplace. They are machines that require lubrication. I do clean out the gunk regularly tho.I use CCI in a gen 3 g19 , 2 of them and a gen 3 26 along with s&b primers ( thousands ) and never had one not fire.... When's the last time you pulled the striker out and cleaned everything , channel , striker etc..? If you put oil or oil gets in the striker channel it can slow the striker down over time because of gunk build up.... I have never had this problem myself but I do take the slide apart every 1000-2000 rounds and clean it , more often couldn't hurt...
I am not saying you do but most people use WAY to much oil on pistols...
Some of the primers go into some of the cases very hard and require and extra hard squeeze.
I'm also a big fan of the 40, the one I shoot is a 1911, a Para Ordnance P16-40. It's only downside is that it's a Series 80 style (soon to be changed).but the 40B they only made about 3,000 of them and you won't find many in the U.S. looks like a 1911.
As I said I could be completely wrong on this , but this is the exact reason I was told not to uniform the primer pockets in pistol brass... Because it can make them seat to deep and you may have misfires.... I would at least try it before I did anything else , get some brass and NOT mess with the pockets and go shoot them... If it solves your problem it's less work reloading and doesn't cost a thing to try... I have never had a Glock not fire a CCI primer and glock is all I shoot... My Friend has a .40 and shoots factory ammo that uses CCI primers and I have never seen his gun not functioning with them.... Hey it's cheap and easy to try.... Please let me know how it works either way I am very interested in your findings....Stock springs ones that came with the new pistol Some one did say to uniform the brass? All the brass is w/w fired once from new brass I keep all my brass in the same make same amount of loadings I have a lot of R/P I will try also once fired from factory I can live with it as said only practice to keep in shape
I may be completely wrong but I was told years ago not to uniform pistol primer pockets with a uniformer that's made for rifle because it makes the pockets to deep...
It was pointed out that changing the trigger springs , and other "Mods" can contribute to this "none-fire" issue . I'm guilty ! Had these modifications done to get a 2lb. trigger pull , and that probably was a cause of my issues . Either way , changing primers resolved the issue .
@riflewoman ... You knowledge is un-surpassed , and I find myself agreeing with you 99.9% of the time , with this exception . Ballistics charts don't take down Bad Guys , and there ain't any 175gr bullets for a 9mm...I'll keep my Glock 40 over any 9mm ever made , when it comes to a gun-fight . And I carried a H&K PS9 in Nam . It was the best available , THEN ....! My carry load is the Hornady Critical Duty 175gr. , and if it's good enough for Arizona D.P.S , it's good enough for me . 75-80% velocity of a .357 and 75-80% Hit power of a .45cal ? Yup . Heavy , Bulky , and 15 rounds . Sucks to be "them" .
.22lr hollow point is the preferred caliber for professional hit men. Around this part of the country (middle KY) it is also the preferred caliber for "professional" deer poachers. If you know any ER doctors that have treated many GSWs, ask them which caliber is the most damaging/deadly... you’ll be surprised how often they’ll answer .22lr Regardless, I don’t want to be hit with anything that’s moving about, or over, 1000 FPS!
