Primers and Varget available

Primers and Varget Available at Bruno's website, but hold on to the pocketbook. Highest prices I have seen on Rem 71/2, but they show available

Just placed an order; thanks for the tip. It usually takes a few days for them to process it though, and by the time they process your order it's often times sold out, so we'll see. Thanks again; really do appreciate the tip!

I bought 8 lbs of Varget and 1k CCI 450s just two weeks ago from Powder Valley and it was $230 shipped inc hazmat. Arrived yesterday. :)

Keep looking, it's out there...

Let's never forget who is and who is not taking advantage of this "situation"!!! Then when this "dust" settles, we can turn our patronage to those who stayed the course and were not sucked into "profiteering"!!

don't let Brunos make you think you have to or need to pay the outrageous high prices. >:(

stuff is starting to come available. Just be patient and ready to buy the second you see it online or hear about it. For me it is a hobby, so I don't HAVE to go buy stuff at gouging prices just because. I will and can wait for the right time and price

Just checked Bruno's website and all I can say is WOW!! $34.95 for a pound of varget and $64.95 for Rem. 71/2's.I can't say whether this is a case of gouging or not, it may be that he has to pay more. I have been checking his site all along and he seems to have more in stock than others do but I have never ordered anything because the prices are too high. A local dealer near me had Rem 71/2's for $60 and I didn't buy them which turned out to be a good thing because another local dealer I visited that same day had CCI 450's for $40 which I then bought. It seems to me that things are loosening up a bit so if I see something I need at a fair price I will buy it.

Paid 35.00 for 1 k CCI 450 and 23.00 for a pound of H4895 from a local "Honey Hole" supplier, last Tuesday. Can not believe Bruno's prices, but it is his option to charge what he wants and everyones option to participate

Everybody keeps telling me to hold on as prices will stabilize soon.

All I have noticed is prices are still going up!

I'll never and I mean never pay $230 for powder and $65 dollars for primers, I'll quit shooting and sell it all..especially when I know greed and hoarding by my fellow shooters has caused most of the shortages..

Bruno's knows how to over charge people ....as the manufacturers stated they haven't raised there prices . Buy else where as most everything is coming available.

I couldn't agree more with this statement. Last weekend I bought 1000 Rem 9 1/2 primers. I bought the last box of them that was on the shelf. There was a great supply of other primers there. Several of us were shopping for primers, and one fellow hovering around there asked if I wanted some more 9 1/2's and that he had 30,000 of them and 50,000 plus CCI's and some others "stashed" away. He was not very popular after making this statement. WD

My local gunshop in Mayo,FL. had 2 lbs. of Varget at 33.00 each, and a 8 lb keg of IMR 4198 for 165.00 when I left. The primers were gone.

I got 8 lbs. of Varget from my Gunshop yesterday for $139.99. I bought two singles of N550 and stated that I needed an 8-ball of Varget. The "better half" of the owner said that one of the "funny named powders" came in yesterday but wasn't checked in yet! It was Varget and came home with me. 1K of 7 1/2's were $36.99 at another local shop on Wednesday. Neither shops will let people walk out with all but want all to have some.

I'm done with Bruno's. It's their prerogative to charge what ever they want, I am a big believer in the free market, and I hope they enjoy the short term windfall, but they will never see another 10¢ from me.

100K primers at home ??? Stashed away?? For what?? How long do you plan on living??

having a reasonable supply on hand.....about a year or 2's worth...sure

anymore than that is getting out of hand

You may be looking at this incorrectly.

There is an upside to gouging and that is it makes the commodity available to someone who REALLY needs it. Let's say you're going to Raton or Camp Perry and for some weird reason you are low on components. I would think paying double or even triple the price for the component you need beats not being able to obtain it at all because the hoarders keep buying everything at the normal price.

It's pretty much the same thing after disasters or similar events. If the price was normal, the commodity gets hoarded and the folks who REALLY need it can't get it at any price.

It's called the law of supply and demand.

The best thing one can do to insulate themselves from these fluctuations is to plan far ahead. For example, let's say the Libtards take over the House in 2014, can you imagine the buying panic then? Or what would happen if another unbalanced individual goes hunting in a gun-free preserve?

The most difficult thing to obtain is primers, then powder, bullets, brass in that order. Plan accordingly.

Oh I fully understand the law of supply and demand. Here is another "view" to consider. Part of the law of supply and demand is where the consumer decides to place his money. For a long time "Detroit" ruled the roost when it came to cars. Because they had "the market" they started making junk. Then Japan came along and people started to buy their cars in such quantities that "Detroit" had to change or go out of business. "Voting" as it were with your pocketbook is a HUGE part of "the law of supply and demand".. All I am saying is, VOTE with your pocketbooks when the tide turns toward normalcy again. The "offenders" may learn a new verse in the law of supply and demand and think twice about jerking their customers around for profits others decided to forego!

I'd rather have a colonoscopy without lube and sedative than pay Bruno's prices.

I guess that those who don't plan ahead don't have many options and believe me, Bruno's takes advantage of that.

Just went to Bruno's website and varget is now $199 for 8 lbs but not is stock but backorderable. I'm guessing they got some very negative comments about their pricing yesterday.

Remember all, if we can't govern ourselves, the government will do it for us. I don't want that

I'm all for reasonable purchase limits. 10 lbs of powder/month and 1k primers/month.....whatever is decided by the manufactures or distributors.

This "problem" we're in should have never happened.
