primers?….

I'm in the middle of annealing 250 pieces of dasher brass and found another 50 i had primed already, and the thought occurred to me that if i de-prime them can i reuse the primers? primers are a little hard to come by and i don't want to waste any….

your thoughts?

I wouldn't use them for a match. The anvils will probably get deformed. That could change ignition or even fail to fire. Matt

Ive punched them out and had no problems using them over. I think I would use some safety glasses.

I can tell you if you anneal a case with them in you wont use them again. ;D
I have removed primers and used them again. Thinking back I was stupid.

Reusing primers is common for me. I have NEVER had a misfire or any ill effects from using them after de-capping. As long as they haven't been squished the first time they were seated, re-seating them is easy in a handheld priming tool, just stop when the primer hits the bottom of the pocket, there will be no spring like a new primer.
The anvil won't be deformed in any way, no need to worry.

Cheers.
