Primer Questions

I have not done any handloading since last year. I am going to work up a few new loads for my hunting rifles. My timing sucks as it is just getting real hot here. Here are my questions:

6.5x47 Lapua: Have been using CCI 450's. Own a brick of 205M. Worth testing? Will they perform well @ 20-40 Degrees? Likely using RL16, H4350, and possibly Varget.

280AI: Have been using CCI BR2's. Own a brick of 215M's. Worth trying a magnum primer? Will mainly hunt in 20-40 degree temps. Will likely keep using slow "magnum" powders and fairly heavy bullets.

Thanks.

My thinking is if the case holds over 50 gr of powder .
Magnum primers should be used . Especially in cold weather when useing slow burn rate powders
50 years ago reloading manuals made that clear . Primers are just a ignition source .
What may be good in one temperature won't work in another . Test them all .
