Primer difference??

Been using CCI Small Rifle and am just about out.
I picked up a "bunch" of CCI BR primers because they were available. Any difference in the compounds that anyone knows of.
Direct replacement? Found a good load and the only change would be the primers. I don't want to have to start all over.

Which primers were you using and what did you purchase. Yes there is a difference. Load a few and try them, you may be surprised with the performance of your new primers versus the old ones.

"Was" using CCI Small Rifle. (just finished them off)
Got CCI BR 4 and wondered about any difference?

CCI BR4 should compare very favorably with CCI 400. The BR primers are made to the same spec on a different production line composed of experienced employees.

There is so little good information about primer performance that empirical testing is the best way to go. I have "heard" that BR4 brisance is between CCI 400 and 450.
