Primer cup thickness

I've read the James Calhoon article about primers cup dimensions and noticed that it is 15 years old. Has anyone measured these dimensions lately? Sure seems like if someone's primers were being pierced due to too thin of a cup, they would have made some changes.

Generally, if primers are being pierced, it's an issue with the pin, headspace or other issue with the gun.
Ain't much wrong with primers nowadays.
