Pressure signs.

I’m helping a guy with a 284 Winchester and we think we have reached max pressure. The bolt lift was pretty stiff and the primer is pretty flat.

Looking for help to make sure we are seeing what we are supposed to see.

180 hybrid. There is plenty of neck clearance.
50.5 gr powder.

All help is appreciated.

Yes,showing lots of pressure. Heavy bolt lift, ejector swipe and depression on case head.

Your photo appears to show a primer that blew out on one side (8 o’clock in photo). There is also large ejector impression which commonly means excessive pressure.

I suspect you are significantly over pressure. I would back off 2 grains and work up in 0.2 increments.
