pressure problem i can't figure out

I believe they did but am not sure. So no help there.

The one buddy who got his rifle cured of the problem had a 284 that shot 0.1 moa. It was (and now is again) a lazer! He used CLR, Bore Tech Carbon Remover, JB Bore Paste, many long soaks and lots of brushing. It took him the better part of a week but he got it restored and shooting lights-out again. It bugged him enough that he sold his RL23 and went back to H4831sc though.

i am currently soaking it with boretech carbon remover, i shoved a wet patch into the neck and ran carbon remover thru the barrel.

There are a ton of ways to clean. Not saying mine is superior but this is what I do.

I start with wipeout. I patch that through every 30 minutes or so until I stop seeing blue, then I go to longer soaks. Once I get a clean patch soaking 12 hours or so, then I switch to Boretch carbon and do the same thing. Once I have no black, grey or green on those patches, I run a few cycles of five passes with a bronze brush and a wet patch. then I rinse with alcohol and call it good.

Although I do not find Wipeout is very effective ob carbon, I do find the long soaks seem to really soften it. Once I get to the Boretech Carbon, what remains in there comes out quick.

suppressor
The use of suppressors on rifles creates yet another dynamic in firearms design that is not commonly understood or communicated. Consider the suppressor on a firearm the same as a muffler on a car. The suppressor works as a filter for the gas (noise) that is escaping the barrel during firing. As a “filter”, it takes longer for the gas to leave the confines of the firearm, and thus, it creates back pressure.

as far as the suppressor, it has been on there for 3 shots, the last 3 out of 400 plus. although, this is the first time i have had pressure problems with the copper creek ammo which happened to coincide with going back and trying the old copper creek ammo i had. also would like to be clear the copper creek ammo is NOT what I would call quality by any stretch of the imagination but I believe it is loaded within safe pressure for the gap 6.5 saum chamber and i have not had this happen before with it.

hi feman, i also switch it up between wipe out / w accellorator and boretech products. boretech told me you can let their carbon remover sit in barrel indefintely.

what does the alcohol do? and is it 99% or the more easily found 70%

I use it as a rinse to swab the chamber and make sure I get all the solvent residue out of the barrel. Nothing special or scientific and I can't guarantee it even does anything. It makes me feel better though!
