Preference of IMR or Hodgon in same powder

I know they are owned by the same company, but do you have a preference of one over the other with the same powder type, like for 4350 for example?

I still use IMR in several hunting guns, but none in competition rifles. Truthfully, Hodgen's 4831, 4350, 4198, and probably some others, are much better for my purposes than the IMR identical numbers. But you realy need to try them in your own rifles.

Maybe it's my imagination but I always find that my hunting rifles shoot better with the "H"..maybe I'm nuts but they just shoot a little tighter groups with everything else being the same..and if I had to pick one powder to use the rest of my life it would be H-4350..clean, accurate and SWEET in everything from 6mm Rem to .338 wm and everything in between that has a big case..love the stufff...

In my 243 win. the IMR 4350 is more accurate than the H-4350. I will stick with the original powder,IMR 4350, not a copy.

I'll go along with Frank on this one.
If all I ever had was H-4350 I sure wouldn't loose any sleep over it.
I use it in my 9 twist 22/250 Ackley with the 75 grain Amax....
I use it in my 10 twist 6mm Ackley with the 80 grain Fowler flat base...
I use it in my 10 twist 25/284 with the 100 grain Ballistic tip....
I use it in my factory 7mm SAUM with the 140 Ballistic tip.....
I don't shoot my 338 Win Mag enough to load for that, but if I did I would use H-4350
in that also....
When I finish my 7mm SAUM AI I'll no doubt use 4831 with the really heavy bullets, but it will still have a,H) in front of the numbers....
When I run out of RL-15 for my 6br's I may try H-4350 in those too......
